2009 FESTIVAL VENUES

Toni-Ann Baker is co-owner of Two Sisters’ Productions, Inc. located in Rhode Island, which has several projects underway in various stages of production (www.twosistersproduction.com). Currently, Two Sisters’ is co-producing an historical documentary with the US NAVY in Newport, RI, in which an exploratory team went under water to locate remains of shipwrecks of the 18th century off Aquidneck Island. It aired in September 2008 on a local broadcast station, as well as national documentary stations.


Toni-Ann has written, produced and directed several movie projects, television broadcast commercials, radio spots, website trailers and promotional videos. She is an advertising agent for Cox Media, a local cable company. Most notably, she co-produced A Lively Experiment: Dr. John Clarke, Co-Founder of RI (1609-1676), which received Honorable Mention in the Roving Eye Documentary Festival in RI and was an Official Selection in the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Toni-Ann also co-wrote and produced the video series called The Deadly Consequences of Drunk Driving for the Katie DeCubellis Memorial Foundation, which was included in the State of Rhode Island’s driver education curriculum. One of the volumes in the series, Left Behind, was the recipient of a Telly Award.


Independently, Toni-Ann works on projects with art collaborative groups, production companies and film festivals. In 2006 she was Programming Manager for the ScriptBiz, a day long scriptwriting conference for the Rhode Island International Film Festival – see (www.film.ri.gov/Scriptbiz.html); in 2007 she programmed the First Annual Short Film Festival for the Artists’ Exchange located in Cranston, RI (www.film.ri.gov/artistsexchange.html); and at present she is committed to the 2008 Ruff Cutz Indie Film Conference, as their Conference Director.


Toni-Ann is heavily involved with community service and local education programs. She has produced children’s plays for local churches; and is an active member of the Rhode Island Film Collaborative (www.rifcfilms.com) an independent collaborative striving to assist in independent filmmaking. Toni-Ann is also an artist who specializes in oil painting and has recently been invited to be on the Advisory Board of a newly establish non-profit organization Southeast New England, Film, Music and Arts seeking to promote all artists. In addition she is the founder of a non-profit organization Ocean Sky which is primarily geared to assist and educate the “Aging Out” population of RI foster care children, as well as other charitable programs.
